International Wine Tourism – Digital Ecosystem for 4 Countries (EU Grant)

about project

Client: ONTU (Odesa National Technological University) within the framework of the EU grant program.

Task: To create a unified tourism hub, "Wine Routes," linking Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, and Greece. The project was intended to serve as a catalyst for the development of regional winemaking and tourism.

The Challenge

Multilingualism with "Fallback logic": The most challenging aspect was providing content in five languages. We implemented an architecture that eliminated "blank pages." If a local language translation (for example, Armenian) was missing, the system automatically pulled in the English version. This ensured 100% accessibility of the information for every user.

Complex Stakeholder Management:
The project required approval from 8+ Product Owners from various countries and university representatives. We took on the role of facilitator: moderating Zoom calls, pushing through decisions, and taking responsibility when the process reached a dead end.

Interactive map and routing:
We developed a route system with smart tags. Each of the 500+ locations (wineries, hotels, restaurants) received a detailed map with contact information and logistical instructions.

The Impact

"We didn't just write code—we acted as a mediator between four cultures and government institutions, ensuring the project's launch on time, despite external challenges."
